Description[]
Developed in 3062 for the Free Rasalhague Republic, the Warthog is a heavy ground-attack Aerospace fighter. Intended solely for anti-vehicle and BattleMech operations, it is equipped with a massive quantity of short-ranged firepower. The fighter's distinctive twin tails, and massive wing load all confer massive firepower and heavy armor, making the Warthog the bane of armor crews and 'Mech pilots alike.
Armament[]
Designed for pure short-range firepower, the Warthog mounts a Rotary AC/5 in its nose, with three podded SRM-6s under each wing.
Variants[]
WTHG-617B- This variant of the Warthog is designed for short-range accurate fire over longer-duration air support missions, and replaces four SRM-6 pods with four Medium Pulse Lasers and twelve Napalm Bombs.
WTHG-617H- Extremely popular in Periphery states, the Warthog-H is extremely simple to resupply. It replaces four SRM-6 pods with sixteen ten-shot Aircraft Multiple Rocket Pods. BV-1953
