Author's Introduction[]
There's a lot of ways to go spy on things in the Inner Sphere. Some spies are quiet, some spies are loud, and a lot are disguised as mercenary companies. These poor Canopian spies, however, have forgotten Murphy's Law: what can go wrong, must go wrong; or collect a karmic debt for disaster later.
A hundred and twenty years of time travel back to the end of the Third Succession War, where nobody understands technology more advanced than sticks, rocks, and single heat sinks? That's a pretty fitting punishment for a thirteen-year streak of good spying, right?
