Overview[]
The Great and the Good (A Captain Roberts Tale!!) is a character driven BattleTech fan story centered around the privateer operating out of the OutWorlds Alliance/Raven Alliance. The story is set in the early Republic Era (aka early pre-blackout Dark Age Era), where nations operating in the age of demilitarization and golden age of "peace" for the Inner Sphere. However, despite this time of peace, conflict and problems still accrue. In near periphery, Amanda Roberts woman with troubling past is wanting to be independent but still fight for common good of her people takes on unusual destiny, of becoming Privateer and fighting her way.
The story is first in series of Tales told about the ship and it's crew of privateers. The story continues where its leaves off in Strategos.
- Wiki Note: The story series was loosely written in tandem with another Fan Writer, 2ndAcr, whose first part of the story takes place approximately 80 years prior to the events of this story.
