Description

The Adventures of the Beer Keg of Science (Abbreviated ABKoS) is a Forum-Style Fan-Fiction Story originally posted on the official Forums of Catalyst Game Lab's BattleTech tabletop game started in May of 2020 by Giovanni Blasini. This is a mix pulp fiction/science/fantasy with touch horror and humor.

A spin-off of fellow Fan-BattleTech Writer Cannonshop's The Administrator story, whom created main storyline centered around Lyran world Kowloon. Premise of the story centers around the refurbished WarShip restored by tiny Periphery nation, the Niops Association. The refitted ancient WarShip was restored for purpose Exploration, while providing degree of security for the tiny nation from outside intruders.

Differences in Canon

While the Lyran & Niops Association are clearly canon factions, the course events undertaken in the book are not. The story entails using exotic and primitive technology to a WarShip that has been extinct in the BattleTech universe (as of this writing) for nearly millennia. Adminstrator Au differ from canon, it unspecified if the effects of the canon IlClan era has effected the Administator AU.

Synopsis

Centered around the restored Warship, Beer Keg of Science!, the Niops Association's exploration vessel in name of science (and defense) begins it's investigation of the unknown as well defending it's nation from threats of the Inner Sphere and beyond!
