Description[]

Technical Readout: Project Nelson (abbreviated TRO:PN), is a fan produced TRO created by Battletech fan Steve "marauder648" Cross. This is the 2nd book of his Clan series of books which are tied together to his ". This book is a form "What-If" showcases Clan Snow Raven, giving a alternate history where elements of the clan would be assigned as part of the Invading Clans who launched an invasion into the Inner Sphere in 3050. The Project Nelson is a 31th Century military joint project between Clan Snow Raven and Ghost Bear to rebuild their respective Navies for possible threats from the Inner Sphere, to replace both Clan's aging SLDF Warships and other assets.

The project to make this PDF took over a year to create and fund. Cross and his fellow contributors produced a Clan specific enhanced TRO. Giving more depth to Clan Hell's Horse, which also supplies insight into the Clan's rise from 2950s to 3060 with tactics, background history, new equipment co-existing with old ones.

Included in this book included are profiles for canon and fan new units produced exclusively for this product with all new art.

Expanded version of the book would provide a update showcases additional units added to the Touman (army) of Clan Hell's Horse forty five years later.

Additionally, a separate Record Sheet Book has been published so players may use these vehicles in their tabletop game. It was originally announced by Marauder648 on the bg.battletech.com/forums March 2020 with teaser of the art work being released.[1]

Canonicity[]

This book is not a canon product, it is alternate timeline where Clan Snow Raven (Along with the Clan Hell's Horse Project Zhuhov) would upgrade the Clan's Warships and tactics using them. Where in canon, the Snow Ravens was Home Clan, whom only later introduced BattleTech universe and their specialty in all things AeroSpace. Efforts to provide replacement for new WarShips in 31st Century never happened, and fandom interest in large warships never was strong enough to support them in future canon products.

The book will look strikingly like a canon Technical Readout produced in the past by Catalyst Game Labs among other companies who held the Battletech license. Some aerospace units are canon, the variants featured in this alternated timeline are not.
