Pirates Executed By Spacing!![]

3060/10/18, Comstar News Service

After a grueling three month campaign, the Taurian Concordat, supported by elements of the Federated Suns 6th Fleet (reserve) under now-Kapitan Arthur Andrew, began carrying out sentencing on more than three hundred wanted Pirates, Brigands, and Bandits that called the Tortuga Dominions home.

A joint Tribunal structure agreed to by the senior commanders of both Nations spent most of last month, examining evidence and hearing testimony from victims of the Tortuga Pirates, as well as dependents and family members of the accused. Three hundred cases were resolved, with some of the most infamous and blood-soaked periphery bandits known to the Periphery and Inner Sphere standing in the dock.

Priority treatment was given to the cases of Pirates, bandits, and the rogue mercenary unit Fuchida's Fusiliers.

In a deviation from normal practice, none of the defendants were given the opportunity to buy their way out of trial and sentencing.

At the end of this outright marathon of piracy trials, the convicted bandits were brought to airlocks of ships in orbit, and cast out into the black without space-suits, to suffocate or haemorrage as they fell to the planet's surface.

The Executions were broadcast on every world in the Tortuga Dominions as they happened, with viewings in public areas shown to the captive population and prisoners awaiting trials to be held by the Taurian Concordat alone as that nation asserts their grip over the former holdfast of banditry.

Among the last to be executed this month, were Fuchida's Fusiliers, commanding officer Major Twylla Summerall, and notorious former bandit-queen Paula Trevalaine, whose recorded execution was, compared to most of the others a display of uncharacteristic dignity and poise.

Kapitain Andrew and his task force are scheduled to return to their home base at Naval Station Filtvelt for some well earned leave...
