[In the Prison Garrison Office...]

"...not acceptable, Lieutenant.  I saw bruising on my client, I want the logs for her intake and the last fourteen days prior to my arrival in system, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way."  Seether said it evenly, "I also want to have a look at the other prisoners in your care to verify that they are being treated appropriately under the articles."

"Colonel! This isn't your jurisdiction!"

She smiled nastily, "Lieutenant, can I have that in writing please? With your signature? I'm sure it will absolutely thrill your Commanding Officers to death to have to explain to Belle Lee why you're refusing a basic health and welfare inspection and fouling up the process of the Tribunals with violations of the Ares Conventions.  I'm sure it will do wonders for your leader, Mister Stone, to have his diplomacy undermined by an underling who's gone off on a power trip. Just pure medal of valor right there, ayeh Wellwallah?"

The garrison officer hesitated, then, "Fiine...."

"I knew you'd see reason.  I want the logs, and I want scheduled time, Oh, and don't forget the recording from my 'private' interview with Commander Ngo."

"We told you it wasn't recorded!"

"Your people used narco-interrogation, probably Pentothal with a chaser of Neolyze. There are marks from skinalyzer on her forehead and neck, eyes dialated and she's been off the drugs for five years, so it's not residues in her system.  If I have to bring a ****** Corpsman down here to find out how many times you've had her in the comfy chair. There will be more than an embarrassing record for you to deal with. a war crimes tribunal is not an excuse for a fishing expedition by intelligence services.  I want those transcripts too, and next time someone from your intel group wants to drug and stimulate my client to question them, I want to be in the room as an observer."

She held his eyes with hers, until he looked away.

"Coughlin! Get the Lieutenant Colonel's records..." he said shakily.

"Very good, Lieutenant." she said.  "We'll talk again." and she smiled.
