Unit Description[]

The Rimward Sentinels is a Combined Arms Regimental mercenary command, which is affiliated with small Periphery nation of Aurigan Coalition.

Unit History[]

Formation[]

Founded by Duke Aaron Herman-Davion of Bromhead. He established the command in 3014 when he uncovered a lost SLDF JumpShip, consisting three fairly rare Fortress Class DropShips, with three companies of mechs. Additional assets found aboard cargo dropship still attached to the derelict. In addition to the ships, Duke Herman and his crew had found regiment of mechs, combat vehicles, and aerospace fighters.

He decided to form a mercenary company with these lost machines, while none are advanced, they were considered to powerful mercenary group with light vehicles, and heavy 'Mechs.

However, as unit was nearly formed, the Duke suffered a heart attacked and died. To dismay of his children on Bromhead, he willed the mercenary company as whole to his elder daughter, whom he Lyran woman whom he was close with prior returning home to Bromhead. In 3015, Elizabeth Nora arrived from the Aurgian Coalition, a mech tech by trade, assume duties as owner of the Rimward Sentinels. Comstar officiated the transfer of ownership to her, while splitting the Duke's immediate family in their reaction of estranged child / outsider claiming ownership of such valuable force.

Consolidating and Taking on it's first Mission[]

Assuming the rank of Colonel, Elizabeth Nora gathers recruits on Bromhead including two of her half siblings and returns to Coromodir VI. There they take up their first contract working for the Coalition in form of Pirating Hunting, contracted her first mission working directly for the High Lord Arano.

Basic Composition[]

The Sentinels is a fully deployable Regimental Combined Arms mercenary unit, which chief transportation centered on their Monolith Class JumpShip. With its formation in the Bromhead System in the Federated Suns, the unit's naval assets included three company cable mech carrier dropships, single converted Union-CV Fighter Carrier DropShip, and a single Mule DropShip for logistics.

Officers[]

Colonel Elizabeth Nora

Native of Coromodir VI, she and her sister grew up to be loyal & patriotic citizens of the Aurgian Coalition. Trained as a BattleMech Technician, whom at age 20 inherted the Rimward Sentinels. Novice MechWarrior, she noted for having sound mind and good organization skills. She pilots a customized Atlas, which has been slightly optimized for ranged combat.

Commodore Leona Geary

A Naval Officer, commanding officer of the Unit's flagship Fortress Class DropShip, Durendal and the Sentinel's aerospace assets. Initially given command of the entire mercenary unit after the death of the duke. He assumed the rank Commodore due to the impressive size of the mercenary force's aerospace assets.

Major Raju "Mastiff" Montgomery

Commanding Officer of Bravo Battalion, the elite pilot and veteran of many conflicts. He acts as Elizabeth Nora's military advisor.
