Description[]
A stable in the Inner Sphere and the Star League armies for centuries, the Rifleman is fire support mech. Having been in service since the Age of War Era, the design has undergone many changes.
SLDF Forgotten Corp whom helped form new expansion to the Terran Hegemony in forgotten colony reaches of the OutWorlds Allaince were no different. Using limited resources on hand and propping up local factories and industries to support them, new Rifleman variant was created using Star League Technology.
This variant was created by fan writer, 2ndAcr, for his fan book Fate Can Be Cruel - Book One.
Armament and Equipment[]
With the focus on firepower, the Rifleman was known to excel in Anti-Aerospace Fighter warfare, retaining pair of Large Lasers and Class-5 Autocannon in its arms, the RFL-3Nb would benefit with enhance performance which original 3N would not. The Mech would be given Endo-Steel to help make room for additional equipment and armor. Armor in the form of 8.5 tons of Ferro-Fibrous Armor increasing it's legendary thin armor to serviceable on the battlefield.
The Mech's 4 tons ammunition is now encased with CASE, to migrate ammunition explosions to allow the Mech and pilot to be salvaged. The Mech to cope with standard model's high temperatures would drop it's medium lasers and change over standard Heatsinks for 10 Double Heatsinks.
To combat anti-aircraft typically pilots foregoes standard ammunition for Flak, to have far easier time shooting down enemy airbornes with 80 rounds of ammunition found it's ammo bays.
