Overview[]

MechWarrior: Living Legends (MMLL) is a Free BattleTech Multi-player PC Game. This is an award-winning total conversion mod made in CryEngine 2, continuously updated by a team of over 40 dedicated community developers and testers across the globe. MWLL aims to bring the BattleTech universe to life, featuring a multiplayer combined-arms experience including Infantry, Tank, and Air combat along with the titular Mechs.

The game was originally developed by Wandering Samurai Studios before the project was shut down in 2013. The community of volunteers had joined to continue the project, thus game continues as of this writing in March, 2024.

Gameplay[]

Based on previous MechWarrior series of PC Games, Unlike these most these previous games, Living Legends allows players to use range units which they can operate. These include BattleMechs, Combat Vehicles, Battle Armor, and uniquely Aerospace Fighters!


How it Works and Game Play[]

The follow is a basic instructions on how to join and play, it's recommended to go to the website - HERE. Some information is taken from this website.

  • 1) Joining a Server
    There are number to choose from. Click "Multiplayer" then "Internet Game" - It's encourage for beginners choose Practice Server.
  • 2) Spawning
    The you choose a Team to join. After releasing [tab], click on the team you wish to join, preferably the team with the fewest players or the team that is currently losing if the player numbers are the same. Choose spawning pointed depending on unit you wish to use in the game.
  • 3) Purchasing Equipment
    After joining a team, the strategic map representation of the current map should be on the screen. If not, press [m] to bring up the strategic map. Click on the base or "Spawn Point" you wish to spawn/enter the game at. Only friendly blue bases may be selected to spawn at. Click the [Done] button or anywhere else on the screen to spawn at that location. If you were successful, a timer will appear on the screen and you will spawn once it reaches 0. Bases with a mech icon typically indicate that weapons, mechs, and other assets may be purchased there. Bases with an airplane icon typically indicate that BA Weapons and aircraft may be purchased there.

    A Player automatically placed in a Battle Armor, where they can walk about a base. To purchase items, you click on [,] which allows you access to various weapons from Battle Armor, weapons, BattleMechs and so forth.
    Players must earn via experience points/C-Bills to purchase higher/more expensive weapons.
  • 4) Deployment
    Once unit purchase, you will go to the hangar where unit has been spawned. Follow the icon on you're personal radar to find it. Example a BattleMech is chosen, thus you go to the hangar get that Battlemech. Once you find it, you will jump jet [Spacebar] on to it and enter it click on the [F] key. Once entering the unit immediate start up. Radar screens will appear.
  • 5) Main directional controls is the WSPD directional controls.
