Star Colonel Isaiah Hawker was a trueborn, Bloodnamed warrior-merchant of Clan Sea Fox's Fox Khanate, most notable for serving as his Khanate's Chief Mercenary Liaison from 3145 onwards. Considered a ristar early in his career for a multitude of reasons, from an exceptional three kills in his Trial of Decision, continued exceptional performance in various Trials against Clans Ghost Bear and Snow Raven, negotiating a series of highly successful business deals with the AFFS, to, most impressively of all, earning a Bloodname at the age of only 23. After his superior botched a significant trade deal with the DCMS, not only losing a potential contract to the hated Baal Defense Solutions but causing the premature termination of an existing one, Isaiah Hawker, emboldened by his recent victory in a Trial of Bloodright, would challenge this superior to a Trial for claim of his rank as Star Colonel.

While Isaiah would achieve victory in this Trial, he would also suffer a terrible injury which would cost him his right arm. Normally, this would be a relatively simple injury to treat with Clan science, but Isaiah's body would not fully accept the cloned arm that was provided to him, leading to an abnormally long recovery and persistent tremors in the arm even after. While in any other Clan this would be an instant death knell to his career due to the intensely competitive nature of life as a Clan warrior, Isaiah would use this recovery time to hone his skills as a negotiator, working to rebuild some of the relations his former superior had soured. Nevertheless, talks among other ranking Sea Foxes regarding the possibility of a Reaving persisted.

Ultimately, Isaiah would be assigned to take over the role of Chief Mercenary Liaison for the Fox Khanate. While this was ostensibly an honorable promotion, Isaiah was able to see the move for what it was: he was being dumped into a dead-end role, in which further opportunity for advancement and glory was highly unlikely. Bitter, Isaiah would take out his frustration by dealing out harsh treatment upon the Spheroid mercenaries with whom he was forced to interact; mercenaries whom he already despised thanks to his Clan warrior sensibilities.
