"...didn't go to Gagnon's, she went straight to her duty station, and is now raising hell with everything." Lt. Colonel Marcus Peets explained.
"Raising hell you say?" Admiral Kingfisher asked.
"Apparently she has assigned herself to overseeing the deck detail left aboard as assistant to the duty officer, she led a painting detail on the aft quarter last night while we were looking for her in downtown."
"That's Chief's work." the Admiral said half scornfully. "Who was the chief assigned?"
"Downes." answered Peets
"Downes isn't a chief." asked Kingfisher
"No sir. The senior staff were on pass last night, Chief Paulus was in my drunk tank by twenty hundred." The Provost officer explained.
"This does not present the best impression of the Squadron, Colonel." Kingfisher said grimly.
"No, it does not."
"Very well, thank you for your assistance, Colonel. I have some messages to issue. Apparently there needs to be a surprise Command Inspection of the Frederick Steiner."
