Description[]

Field Manual: Rim Federation is a fan sourcebook based on the Catalyst Game Labs non-canon RPG Adventure book, Empires Aflame , which was an "What If" book of alternate timeline from canon had things gone differently. Final sourcebook written by DarthRads of series three books he wrote.

This sourcebook features Rim Federation, the nation that faulted in canon and survived thanks to SLDF having not gone Exodus from the Inner Sphere. Originally, known as the Rim Worlds Republic during the Star League Era. The Periphery nation, the largest and most aggressive of the states it's old ruling family whose action lead to the demise of the Star League and perhaps the salvation of the Periphery States having tricked to rebel against monolithic galactic state.

Book serves as a military review of the Rim Federation and it's history and it's military past & current structure.

The Field Manuel: RF also features early history of the Rim Federation to 3090, details of it's dedicate formations, Metals & Rewards given to individuals

Canonicity[]

All events prior to the 2781 are canon noted in the book, however after that date things are no longer fully canon. Combat Units (BattleMechs, Combat Vehicles, Aerospace related vehicles, and WarShips) are in fact canon, with couple exceptions being renamed. Many of the early characters and related combat formations are from Star League Era canon initially, but changed as time pasted as with all factions and related items. Some individual canon characters in later time appear but not same as in canon due to nature of the events changing.

Notes[]

  • Wiki Note: This book was compiled in 2015-2016 from efforts of DarthRads and other individuals. The book uses mix of rule from Combat Equipment source book and then forth coming Interstellar Operations which manages very large formations of troops on Regiment to Division sizes. There maybe differences in rules between them.
