Emergence is the prequel to the Forum-Style Fan-Fiction Story originally posted on both Fanfiction.net Sybil and the official Forums of Catalyst Game Lab's BattleTech tabletop game starting in 2017 by Giovanni Blasini.

Synopsis

Set in the Terran Hegemony, Rear Admiral Noriko Murakami has been given the project to improve on the current generation of Casper Drones with new type of AI, belonging to the M-6C Project. This story details the progress setting for technology which would eventually have profound consequences in the future.

Events prior to 2760 are considered canon in the regular BattleTech universe. Development of the M-6C Drone and character Noriko Murakami, along with events that unfold during and after this book are purely non-canon
