The third son of a wealthy industrialist from New Vandenburg in the Taurian Concordat, Diego Torres used his share of the inheritance at the passing of his father to leave the Concordat and enroll in the University of Outreach, training as a MechWarrior. Upon graduating in 3051 in the upper 10% of his class, he was offered a position with the Dust Devils, and has proven himself a good investment ever since.
