Description[]
The Cor-Star is Medium Aerospace Fighter built for ComStar and it's allies against onslaught of the Clans in 3051. The fighter started as a refit of the CSR-V12 Corsair, which was a refit of the existing fighter with Star League Technology for Inner Sphere.
The refit for the Corsair was designed/stated out for fan story Opalescent Reflections by drakensis.
The Cor-Star didn't receive the enormously diverse production base of the Hippogriff. Wangker's Axton factory obtained the design data under circumstances ComStar elected not to investigate too closely, but the simple fact is that availability of factories for conversion wasn't wide enough.
Weapons and Equipment[]
Straight forward refit, which the aerospace plane retains it's original role as dog fighter, powered by a 300-rated Extra-Light Fusion engine it's enemies. The airfame in chassis of the Cor-Star is laden with 13.50 tons of Ferro-Aluminum, double armor mounted in it's nose.
The fighter craft's primary long range weaponry comes from a pair nose mounted Extend-Range Large Lasers, while it's Corsair's original wing mounted medium lasers and it's four small lasers are retain in the nose and aft. The fight's shorter range arsenal more adjusted for dogfighting range.
