The first honored guests to arrive. Which included the newly installed Archon of the Lyran Alliance, and the established Khan of Clan Jade Falcon.
Peter landed in Nha Tranh, using the superbly refitted and rebuilt spaceport with it's full suite of port functions. This was including hull coolant installations at each landing pad. A long delayed upgrade from the days when a Dropship had to wait for coolant trucks to spray down the exits. The fixed sprayers brought the royal dropship's hull down to ambient temperature in minutes instead of hours, and the personnel concourse was in place, avoiding the discomfort of walking across the tarmac in the noise and wind of Kowloon at the beginning of local winter.
In Hue, the Golden Keshik grounded at a full-service port as well. A bit of a nice touch compared to the usual Inner Sphere legacy facilities. The Dropship pits were in excellent shape, and again, the cooling assemblies were operational and working. The Warriors could march their 'mechs and Battle Armor along ferrocrete passages to speed offloading of the Overlord-C with no delay.
The efficiency was actually gratifying and impressive. Though it did avoid the usual show-of-force that is so impressive on recordings.
