1st MEU linked up with the Arc Royal forces at Gibbs.  The ragged remains of the Loyalist navy had come here intending to rally for a counter-attack.

"You know the problem with Warriors in Warships is?" Fleet Captain Pol Nguyen asked over the common channel.

"Neg." the Clan Wolf-In-Exile Warship responded.

"The problem is; They're amazing until they meet spacers who have been forced to fight.   Eight...seven..six...five...four, Jesus these guys are dense...one, impact."

The loyalist formation didn't waver in the slightest as projectiles slashed through their ranked vessels from off-nadir axis.

"Savashri!!" said Wolf officer over comms.

"Nah. Physics of motion." Pol stated, "Okay, all Allied Vessels. Advance one quarter speed. Gunnery crews to focus on the remaining intact ships. Fighters assume point defense formation alpha.  Search and Rescue crews to your boats."

The partially completed Battlecruiser Fylgia that had scrambled from the dock tumbled aimlessly ahead, while one of the opposing Fox-class gouted flames and vented atmosphere from multiple hull ruptures. The other one was actively moving to evade.

"Gunnery engage bracket fire, point defense on the Full Moon, over."

The hull vibrated as the destroyer's gunnery positions laid down patterns on the streaking pinpricks angling for the Clan Warship.

"For example, interlocking fires prevent Alamo strikes." Pol commented.

A few silver flashes showed where missiles, and at times the fighter carrying them were annihilated.

Covering HIM, were eight out of twelve cutters from 11th Squadron and their fighters.
